Trackmint vs the field

One board instead of tracker + spreadsheet + invoice tool. Here's what Harvest, Toggl, Clio, and Clockify do that we should match — and what we won't build.

The field

Tool Price What they do Gap we hit
Harvest $12/seat Time + invoices. QuickBooks sync. Team reports. Per-seat scales against solo ops. No scope contracts.
Toggl Track $9/seat or free Beautiful timer UI. CSV export. No invoicing. No invoices, no scope contract, no board.
Clockify Free / $4+ Free tier, team, reports. Common fallback choice. No scope contracts. Invoices on paid tier only.
Clio $65+/user Law-firm billing. Time → invoice. Court date sync. Overkill for solo. No simpler generalist version.
FreshBooks $17+/mo Invoicing-first. Time add-on. Light project view. Invoices good; board and scope contracts missing.

P0 — add now

P0Stripe invoice send (TM410) — Harvest's core value. Without Stripe checkout the $200k math doesn't exist. This is the single blocker between Trackmint and billable revenue.
P0Time report export — Toggl's main sell. CSV or PDF of hours by ticket, by day, by client. Freelancers need this to send to clients with invoices.
P0Scope contract display on ticket — Trackmint's differentiator that no rival has. ASKED FOR / IN SCOPE / OUT OF SCOPE on every ticket. Prevents invoice disputes before they happen.

P1 — next cycle

P1Ship stamp on invoice — verifiable deploy record on the billed invoice. Clients see exactly what shipped and when. Harvest doesn't do this; our differentiator.
P1One-tap timer from board — Toggl's smoothest feature. Tap a ticket name → timer starts immediately. No separate form. Currently requires more steps.
P1Client portal (read-only share) — Clio does this for lawyers. Clients see their project board and time log without logging in with an account.

Won't build

SKIPPer-seat team pricing — scales against small operators, which is our market. If team features land, they're included in the flat rate.
SKIPCourt / calendar sync for legal verticals — Clio's moat. Out of scope until there's a specific legal customer asking for it.
SKIPHarvest or Clio as ASC keywords — trademark violation. Use site pages to capture comparison search instead.
