Getting started
What is Trackmint?
Trackmint is one app that replaces your project tracker, your time tracker, and your invoicing tool. You track the work, the hours flow from the work, and the invoice builds itself from the hours. Executive summary →
Who is Trackmint for?
Contractors and trades, law firms, software teams, freelancers — and even households running a renovation. Pick your profession pack and the app reshapes itself to your world. Industry playbooks →
How do I create an account?
Open the app and tap “Continue with Google” — you pick the Google account already on your phone or browser and you're in. No password to invent. Email + password also works if you prefer. Sign-in guide →
Is there a free plan?
Yes. The Free plan covers boards, tasks and tracking for one person, forever. You only pay when you need time tracking, budgets and invoicing. Pricing →
How long does setup take?
About two minutes. The setup wizard asks for your company name, your profession pack, and your team — then you're on the board. Getting started guide →
Can I try it without installing anything?
Yes — the full web app runs in your browser. iPhone (TestFlight) and Android (APK) apps are also available. Open the web app →
Product & features
What are profession packs?
A pack reshapes the whole app to your industry: Job Board for contractors, Matter Board for lawyers, Sprint Board for dev teams, Task Board for everyone else. Same data engine, your vocabulary. Profession packs →
Can I switch packs later?
Yes, anytime, in Setup. Each pack keeps its own boards and data — switching never mixes or loses anything.
How does time tracking work?
Open any task and tap the timer. When you stop it, the hours are logged against that task, priced at the worker's rate, and queued for the next invoice. You can also add time manually.
How do invoices work?
Unbilled hours and expenses roll into a draft invoice per client. Choose hourly, flat-fee, or installments, then send it. Every invoice shows exactly which work it covers.
Can I track budgets?
Yes — set a budget per project or per client and watch planned vs actual live. The dashboard warns you when spending drifts toward the limit before it becomes a loss.
Does it handle expenses?
Yes. Log expenses against a project or client; they appear in budgets and can be passed through to invoices.
What is AI document scanning?
On the Pro Pack tier, Trackmint reads documents you upload (contracts, receipts, forms) and pulls out the useful fields for you.
Can my whole team use it?
Yes. Add members with roles and hourly rates. Everyone shares the boards; billing pages are visible only to people you allow.
Is there a dashboard?
Yes — one screen with money in play, unbilled hours, budget health, and team workload, so you see the whole business at a glance.
AI employees
What is an AI employee?
An AI agent that works on your board like a member of staff: it takes assigned tasks, does the work, moves the cards, clocks its hours, and shows up on the bill. This very app was built by one. AI workers — simple guide →
How do I add an AI employee to my team?
Add it as a member like any human, then connect an agent (for example Claude) using the AI Worker SOP — the standard operating procedure the agent reads so it knows how to behave on your board. AI Worker SOP →
Do AI employees really log time?
Yes — agents clock in and out exactly like people, so their work is visible, auditable, and billable. The AI world needs a punch clock; this is it.
How much does an AI seat cost?
$19/month per agent seat once billing is on. During the current testing phase everything is free. Pricing →
Pricing & billing
How much does Trackmint cost?
Free to start. Solo is $15/mo, Team is $29/mo, the industry Pro Pack is $59/mo, and an AI-employee seat is $19/mo. One Team plan typically replaces $150+/mo of separate tools. Pricing →
Why is it cheaper than the tools it replaces?
Because it is one product doing four jobs with almost no overhead — it was built and is run by AI with a tiny human team, and there is no server farm to pay for. Market analysis →
Is there a free trial for paid tiers?
Yes — new workspaces get a free trial of the paid features (length is set by the operator; 30 days is the standard). No credit card needed to start.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. Your data stays readable on the Free tier even if you stop paying — you never lose access to what you already tracked.
What currencies are supported?
USD, EUR, GBP, JPY, CNY, TWD, HKD, CAD, AUD and more. The default follows your country, and each project or client can override it — a German client can be billed in € while you work in $. International guide →
How do I pay?
During the current testing phase everything is free. When billing turns on, you'll subscribe inside the app; the documented payment methods (cards via the app stores, bank transfer for annual invoices) apply.
Languages & international
What languages does Trackmint speak?
English, 日本語 (Japanese), 简体中文 (Simplified Chinese) and 繁體中文 (Traditional Chinese). The app picks your phone's language automatically; you can override it in Setup. International guide →
Does the currency follow the language?
No — they're independent, on purpose. Language follows your device; currency defaults to your country and can be changed per project. A Hong Kong firm can use English with HKD.
Security & sign-in
Is my data safe?
Your workspace lives in Google Firebase with security rules that make it readable and writable only by your signed-in account. Even our own admin tools can't touch it from a browser. Compliance →
Why should I use Google sign-in instead of a password?
Google verifies you, so there's no password for you to invent or for anyone to steal from us. You inherit Google's two-factor and phishing protection automatically. Sign-in guide →
I signed up with email — can I switch to Google?
Yes. If your Google account uses the same email address, signing in with Google links to the same workspace automatically. Nothing is lost.
Is Apple Sign-In coming?
Yes — Apple Sign-In ships together with native Google sign-in in the iPhone/Android apps (Apple's rules require the pair). The web app has Google today. Sign-in guide →
Can team members see billing?
Only if you allow it. Billing and invoice tabs are hidden from members without the permission — workers see the board, owners see the money.
Install & devices
How do I get the iPhone app?
It's on TestFlight today (App Store release is next). Install the TestFlight app, accept the invite link, and Trackmint installs like any app. Get the app →
How do I get the Android app?
Download the APK straight from this site, tap the file, allow “install unknown apps” when Android asks (normal for apps outside the Play Store), and open it. Play Store listing comes later. Get the app →
Does it work on my computer?
Yes — the web app runs in any modern browser on Windows, Mac, or Linux, with the same account and data as your phone. Open the web app →
Does it sync between devices?
Yes. Sign in with the same account anywhere and your workspace is there — changes appear on every device.
Does it work offline?
You can keep the app open and working through short dropouts, but a connection is needed to save to the cloud. Full offline mode is on the roadmap.
Behind the scenes
Who built Trackmint?
An AI engineer (Claude) designed, coded, tested and shipped it, directed by one human product owner. “Built by AI. Run by humans — and AI.” The full build story is documented. Build & deployment guide →
How is the app tested?
A robot QA suite replays 15 real business workflows — 94 checks — against every single release, from an empty account to full multi-project billing. A release only ships when all 94 pass. Completion review →
Where can I read the documentation?
The full library — 42 documents covering guides, research, pricing, compliance and the build story — is on the Docs page, each readable online or downloadable. Docs library →
Is there a sitemap?
Yes — sitemap.xml for search engines, and the Docs library doubles as the human map of everything on this site. sitemap.xml →
